Scientists, industry experts and policymakers meet in Muscat to explore research on microbial diversity, ecology and biotechnology, with a special focus on the unique and understudied ecosystems of the Middle East, from deserts and hot springs to oil-polluted soils and marine habitats.

Our regular gatherings

Dates for the first Annual General Meeting and upcoming workshops will be announced here. Members receive at least three months’ notice of General Meetings.

    Our flagship gathering for all members to vote on the society’s direction and share research. Held in person or online, with notice at least three months ahead.
